Maybe the US is finally turning a new leaf, and we won't get so many odd looks when you say im an American - let alone that Im from Texas. Im glad to have been part of this moment in history. One day I plan to look back and tell my children's children.
Also, I am happy that yahoo had Obama's victory speech online still and that I was able to watch it :) I did like his speech. It was very nice and I especially liked the story of the 106 old woman in Alabama. You have just wonder how she felt. Having seen things like the riots of 1960, seeing women and african-americans attain the right to vote, and lastly to finally vote for an african-american man and see him win and hold the highest office in the land. I wonder how she feels that things can change and that change is possible, but to quote Obama "it might not happen in a year or even in a term" but change is possible.
love love - hope you have a wonderful day
p.s. now that the election is over in the states the english are getting ready for Guy Fawlke's Night - ill explain what that is in my next post!!!
love love love X infinity
